Free Flux Detector. Detect Black Forest Labs Flux.

Flux is the closest thing to truly photorealistic open AI imaging in 2026. We detect Flux 1, Flux Pro, Flux Dev, and Flux.2 [dev] outputs.

Why Flux is harder than the others.

Flux outputs are designed to look like sensor-captured photographs. The newer Flux.2 [dev] model is photorealistic enough that human raters miss it in blind tests more than a third of the time. Detection on stripped Flux images is harder than on older diffusion models, and we are upfront when the signals do not give us strong confidence.

Metadata when available.

Flux outputs from official inference endpoints do not include Content Credentials by default, but often retain provider tags in the file. Self-hosted Flux through ComfyUI typically includes the embedded text block we read. After social media uploads or aggressive editing, accuracy drops, and we surface that uncertainty.

Frequently asked.

Does it work on Flux.2 dev?
Yes. Flux.2 dev is the hardest current model to detect because its outputs are highly photorealistic, but the detector has been updated for it. Accuracy is lower than on older models and we surface that uncertainty.
What about Flux Pro and Flux Schnell?
Both are covered. Flux Schnell outputs are often easier to detect than Pro due to lower step count in generation.
Can it tell a Flux image from a Midjourney image?
The detector tells you "AI vs real" and sometimes identifies the source generator when signals point to a specific one. It is not a guaranteed identifier of which model produced an image.
